Samsung has launched the upgraded version of the last year flagship from S series. There were three device’s launched from the S series yesterday. They are the S20, S20+, S20 ultra. S20 is the base model of the series. Samsung has gone with a huge upgrade in Spec’s over the last year S10. Let’s take a closer look at the Specification of the S20.
S20 has only a base varient of 8gb ram and 128 gb internal storage but the intresting thing here is that if you opt for the 5G version of the device you will get 12 Gb of ram with 128 gb internal storage. The base varient price starts with 69,000.

Now let’s take a closer look at the handset itself.
Samsung S20 has a dimensions of 151.7× 69.1× 7.9 mm and weight’s about only 163 gram. Glass is used in both the front and back of device. Towards front Samsung has given a Gorilla glass 6 protection while towards the back of the phone it is protected by Gorilla glass 5. The phone is holded together by a Aluminium frame. The Samsung S20 has a hybrid sim slot. Therefore you can use either two sim cards or a sim and a micro SD card. The phone also has E sim support so you can use it too.
Samsung S20 has support for Samsung pay and also it is certified with IP68 dust and water resistant. The smartphone company claims that you could put the phone in 1.5 m water depth for 30 min. Device come’s with a triple camera setup towards the back which is placed in a rectangular grid similar to the S10 lite. Talking about the speaker of Samsung S20 it comes with a stereo speaker setup with Dolby enabled. Unfortunately Samsung has decided to skip the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Underneath the display fingerprint scanner is located and it is an ultrasonic scanner provided by Samsung. Samsung S20 is available in three colours ‘Cosmic Grey’, ‘Cloud Blue’, ‘Cloud Pink’.
Samsung S20 has a 6.2 inch Dynamic Amoled display. The screen resolution is 1440×3200 pixel. It’s first time that Samsung has gone with a 120 Hz refresh rate panel. The display used here is the punch hole instead of going with regular notch. Aspect ratio used here is 20:9. Screen to body ratio is 89.5%. Also the pixel per inch density of the device is 563. Since it’s an Amoled display it has support for always on. The panel used also has HDR 10+ support.
Talking about the internal used in the device Samsung S20 is powered by the latest flagship chipset from Samsung named Exynos 990 which is a 7nm chip. The gpu paired is Mali-G77 MP11. The 8 cores specification are as follows ( 2×2.73 GHz Moongoose M5 & 2×2.60 GHz Cortex-A76& 4×2.0 GHz Cortex A-55 core.)
Connectivity wise phone has support for 4g but Samsung has launched a dedicated S20 5g varient those who want 5g support. The wifi used here is Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, dual band, Wi-Fi Direct, Hotspot. Bluetooth used here is 5.0 . The Gps is A-Gps, Glonass, BDS, Galileo. The usb is 3.2 Type C. All the important sensor are present in the device such as accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass, barometer.
Coming to the camera of the device. The phone comes with triple camera setup. A primary sensor of 64 MP f/2.0 with telephoto support paired with a 12 MP f/1.8 wide sensor and a 12 MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens . S20 could shoot videos at 8k max in with 24 fps.
The front camera is a 10 MP f/2.2 sensor. It could shoot videos at max in 4k with 60 fps.
Coming to the battery capacity of the S20 . It packs in a 4000 Mah battery. The Phone also come’s with a 25 W fast charger inside the box. It could also charge at 15W with
wireless and 9W from power bank.
Samsung S20 comes with Android 10 out of the box. It comes with Samsung’s own Ui named One Ui. The UI is highly customisable and has many features that doesn’t come with stock Android.
