The phone which everyone was waiting for the past year. The company that win everybody heart by just releasing a single smartphone. Yes we are talking about the Poco brand. After the poco F1 release the poco brand has comed up with new release named Poco X2 which is a Redmi K30 renamed. The only difference between them is that Redmi K30 has NFC support. Now let’s take a look at the key Specs of the Device.
• IPS LCD display with 120 Hz refresh rate
• 5G support
• Quad Camera
• Punch Hole display
• Dual front Camera
• Snapdragon 730 G
• 4500 Mah battery
• 27 W fast charge
• Android 10
Now let’s take a look at the Poco X2 itself
The phone has a dimension of 165.3×76.6×8.8 mm and weights about 208 gram. So clearly Poco X2 is slightly heavy and doesn’t provide great one hand usage. The phone has glass to both it’s front and back which is protected by Gorilla glass 5. Due to the glassy back the phone is slippery. It is also fingerprint magnet. The phone has a punch hole display towards the front with dual camera embedded in it .Poco X2 has a quad camera setup to the back. X2 have a hybrid sim slot with shared support for Micro SD. The phone also has a single firing loud speaker and an dedicated 3.5 mm headphone jack. Poco X2 is available in four colour varient’s ( Deep sea gleam, Purple Jade fantasy, Huaying jinghong, Time monologue). Design and build quality wise it’s close to flaghsip.
The Main highlight of the device is it’s display. The phone has an IPS display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz which is unbeleivable at this price range. X2 has a screen to body ratio of 84.8% and provide a pixel per inch density of 395.
When it comes to the chipset the phone has two varient’s one powered by the 730 G which only has 4g support. We have already tested many phones with Snapdragon 730 G and it’s quite a great chipset when it comes to both handling day to day and high graphical games. The phone have Support for Adreno 620 Gpu.
Poco X2 have a quad camera setup with a main sensor of 48 MP f/1.8 paired with a 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens, 2MP f/2.4 depth and dedicated macro Len’s. In my testing of short period the camera performed well in Day night. The image quality was great and pleasing to the eye. Another highlight of the phone is that it has dual front facing camera a 20MP f/2.2 main sensor and 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. Due to the dedicated depth sensor the phone takes some great potrait shot’s. Deta review of the camera will be given in the full review of the phone.
The Poco X2 has a massive 4500 Mah battery which in my opinion would last for a day and a half easily even with heavy use. Also with Miui optimisation we could see a high screen in Time. The phone also has a 27W fast charger bundled inside the Device which is great Feature at this price.
The phone has the latest version of android. It runs andorid 10 out of the box with custom skin MIUI 11 for Poco . MIUI has its own pro’s and Con’s but the majour thing to note here is the problem of ad’s in MIUI and the over animation which makes the phone laggier.
