Honor 9x Specifications

Honor was releasing great budget Android smartphone till they get affected with the Google ban and stuffs like that. Honor launched the 8x which was a pretty decent phone for that price, now they have released the upgraded version of that model named Honor 9x. It’s seems like Honor has also returned to the budget smartphones category which is currently lead by Xiaomi and Realme. Lets now look at what this phone has to offer us.

The phone has a dimension of 163.5×77.3×8.8 mm and Weight’s about 196 gram. The phone is in the heavier side and it’s not comfortable for one hand usage due to its weight. It has glass to both it’s front and back with aluminium frame. Sadly the phone comes up with a hybrid sim slot so there is only option for shared expandable storage. The usb used here is Type C. Coming to the fingerprint scanner it’s located to the back of the phone. It’s quite fast and accurate as all the other Honor phone sensor’s. There is a single firing loud speaker towards the Bottom of the phone and also it has support for 3.5 mm headphone jack. The phone has a full screen display means the frot camera has pop up support. There is Four camera towards the back. The  the rest of the stuffs like power button, volume rockers are situated towards the side of the phone. Honor 9x is available in two colour varient’s ( Sapphire Blue, Midnight Black).

Honor 9x has a 6.59 inch IPS LCD display with a screen to body ratio of 84.3% and has a pixel per inch density of 391. The phone has a resolution of Full HD+.

Coming to the processor it has Huawei its own processor Kirin 710 which is a 12 nm chip. It is paired with Mali-G51 MP4 gpu. The phone is clocked at 2.2 GHz.

Honor 9x has a triple camera setup towards the back. A primary 48 MP f/1.8 sensor paired with 8MP f/2.4 ultrawide lens and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. It could only shoot at 1080p at 30 fps with the back camera which is a bit disappointing. Coming to the front camera it has a a 16 MP f/2.0 motorized front camera.  The front camera could shoot video’s at 1080p with 30 fps.

The phone has a battery capacity of 4000 mah and the charger provided inside the box is a regular 10w normal charger which is a bit disappointing as many companies are now providing fast charger at this price.

Honor 9x runs Android 9 out of box which is very much disappointing. It has a custom skin named EMUI. EMUI is very highly customised version Android and the software is not that great compared to other custom skin.  As of now the software has support for Google apps. More details about software will be given in full review.

Honor has launched a decent handset for the price but I don’t see it giving a tough competition to Realme and Redmi. Comparison between these phone would be done. More details will be given in the Full review.
